| Perhaps ironically, there is no artistry involved in photographing artwork. It certainly requires some experience and knowledge about light, angles, reflective surfaces, and perfect exposure, but I like to consider it a craft.
I have been photographing artwork for as long as I've been shooting anything, so I've developed a system that works well. I can shoot in most formats as required for the job (including digital, which, incidentally is how most of the photos got onto this site), and perform the work on-location if desired.
